Nintendo have certainly got high hopes for their upcoming Nintendo 3DS, as they are reportedly forecasting four million 3DS units to be sold by the end of the financial year which is effectively March 2011. Whats more is that what they are effectively saying is that they predict they will reach their target in one month on sale, following the news earlier today of the 3DS release date commencing in February 26, 2011 in Japan and then in Europe and the US in March. That would be an enormous task even for the handheld that is causing such a stir in the gaming world. Nintendo has recuced both overall hardware and software sales on its DS and Wii consoles for the full year as they should following the launch of Playstation Move detracting from their [possible] Wii sales, and with the news of the 3DS many gamers will be holding out a little longer knocking the DS sales.
