Sony isn't making any big new IP's and I really doubt games like Killzone 3 will triple their sales in the new installment. Uncharted 3 has the outside chance, but with both prior installments selling 3-4 million, I doubt it. Then again, MS has the habit of announcing something BIG at E3. Forza 3 and Gears 2 were announced the year of release, and ODST wasn't far from that. |
I'm not even considering Sony will put out something that successful. Its not often IPs go from modest sales to mega seller. They would have to put out a big new IP for that to happen.
Zelda will likely be a big seller long term. It has the potential to outsell Gears 3 long term, it won't happen in 2011.
