You don't know much about computer graphics, do you? Textures and shaders matter more than polygons now.
And entire Velociraptor in Jurassic Park was just 100,000 polygons. It was the intest texture and shader work that gave it the details.
The reason the Wii's graphics are so inferior to the PS3/X360 is not polygon count (Wii actually pushes a lot of polygons) but because the HD consoles offer hgih programable shaders and high resolution textures. The Wii uses an old fixed function pipeline and low resolution textures.
