Shooters win on 360 and that isnt a shock consider it is 360 most popular genre and the most popular genre in the US where the 360 has a 10 million unit lead.

Yeah PS3 is about 2mil behind in the UK, i think there can still be a victory there for Sony if the gen lasts another 5 years - which both MS and Sony support. however until PS3 can get a price cut there i dont see it happening, and then MS will counter with another price cut.
the only reason i could see this all changing is because of next years software line up, where MS has 1 high profile excvlusive against at least 4 or 5 PS3 exclusives. and as you mentioned the 360 has a 10mil lead in the US, but the software sales are about the same, (except for shooters) despite the 10mil lead. that suggests that a lot of those 10mil are duplicate buys.
a lot of people say GT5 will change everything, but imo it will take a lot more than that, but it can happen. and Sony really should advertise they're products better than MS, MS are very good at marketing, where as i think Sony could do better!

Are you even thinking that through, if you think MS only has 1 high profile game next year you're wrong.
Games like LBp2, K3, Infamous 2 ect are not going to sway the competition, it's such an absurd thing to say.
And lmao at the italicised bit, software the same in America? You need to go recheck those numbers, 360 is over 130 million games ahead there. Also has the highest attach rate there.

Okay fair enough, i wasnt aware of the 130 mil lead, my point was based on cmeese47 said, its logical that this is the case because of the 10mil lead in US. sadly you are right, how ever many awards or perfect scores those games get its unlikely they will sway the competition. however i think we're in for a few supprises next year!!
yes i think that Gears is the only HIGH profile game coming to the 360 next year, the only other thing would be Forza 4 Kinect or Halo Reach ODST; nothing else has been announced. the gladiator thing you mentioned is based on a hack n slash market which is no where near the strenght of the FPS on the 360.

Nowhere has Kingdoms been called a hack n slash to my knowledge. XCOM is from the Bioshock team, and we've yet to see what 343 industries are up to, it might be something bigger than we think. Of course 3rd party games can't be ruled out, whichever they are. If you think MS are going from May to Dec with no top tier exclusives then I don't know what to say, if they can't get one from a first party, they'll get one from a third, they've never gone a holiday season since 2006 without one.
