we could start to see a change if FIFA11 gets PS3 advertising and GT5 coming...but i don't think the effect will be enough to change the tide...i'm sure it'll be a close battle though.

Has a 2 plus million growing lead there, fifa and GT5 will do nothing to scratch that. The Slim and price cut did little last year.

How does it have a 2 million lead over there when it only has about a 3-4 million lead worldwide, I don't understand where you people are pulling these numbers from, it always looks like 360 is selling more but when we get the worldwide shipped Sony always has started to close in somewhat, it's been that way for a few years now

The front page, and seen as you're on this site if you don't like that then you might as well leave. Also our numbers are in line with Chart Track UK.
Edit - I get your confusion, you think the UK 2 mill lead takes up half of the "3 - 4 million lead", you're assuming PS3 and 360 are drawing elsewhere. PS3 has a lead in Japan of around 4 million remember, and in other European countys PS3 is in the lead.

I go by the last shipped, the sites numbers are inaccurate and it's still a good forum/news site, even if it's chartz numbers are off

Since when do we go by shipped numbers to compare userbases ??That's something that GAF started because it favoured the ps3 and sony . That was not the case a few years ago, nobody was comparing shipped numbers from companies' fiscal reports, it's a recent trend to show how the ps3 is "closing " the gap. I would never go by shipped numbers from sony . If you don't care about VGchartz then compare the official numbers that we do get (NPD, MC ,chartrack from time to time) and that's about it.

Shipped numbers are the only accurate ones, sure it's not userbase but atleast it's accurate
