Mass Effect 2 looks like it will pass Mass Effect 1 saleswise. ME1 was released in mid-November, ME2 was released in late January.
God of War 3, and MGS4 also sold substantially well compared to their PS2 counterparts, and so did Grand Theift Auto 4. If anything, Gears may sell better since it's being released aganst almost no compeditors.
