I only bought one psx and one ps2 (the slim one). I played thousands of hours in both systems. I never had any problems with any console besides nes. So now you know one person.

I also only owned one PS1 and one PS2.. except they both broke, I replaced my PS1 with a PS2, and my PS2 with a 360, and my 360 with a 360, and my 360 with a 360, and my 360 with a 360 HDMI. Thankfully the 360's were all under extended warrenties, and the HDMI model is proving to be moderatly reliable.

However my Nintendos, NES, SNES, N64, Cube, GB, GB Pocket, GBC, GBA, DS, all work fine. I think the only nintendo produt to break on me was an N64 controller, but by the time Mario Party broke it, the analog stick was actually grinding down into a fine dust and clogging the analog stick slot. Damn Mario PArty..

Damn Mario Party broke my hand! Well not broken bones but it tore some skin off when you had to play tug of war and I started to use my palm on the stick to get a quicker rotation going, a nice layer of skin came off and all I wanted was just to win Tug-o-war just once
