Don't remember hearing anything like that.  thought it was a possible 2010 release but got pushed into 2011 so I would expect a relatively early release in the year.

"At Nintendo's coinciding press conference in June 2010, it was announced that the subtitle was Skyward Sword, and that the game would be delayed until 2011,[2] though the team is still aiming for a release early that year."

 

And Gears of War 3 is slated for April so I think Zelda could very well release before it.
