The software is definitely an issue. Aside from the minor abberations of success (Just Dance, Carnival Games), there haven't been a lot of 'breakout' hits on the Wii. Sure, plenty of titles have done solid business, but if you look at the PS2 now, having been out 10 years, it still gets some software, but it's mostly the yearly Madden and FIFA titles, and not much else. The Wii isn't even going to have that kind of support in a couple years because those games have never sold immensely well, especially compared to X360 and PS3, so why continue to make those games once the Wii market really starts to dry up? Don't get me wrong, Nintendo will (and already has), sold plenty of Wii's so far, but it just won't have the legs that the PS2 has.
Bah!
