This could be taken one of two ways.
On their own, the sales are clearly disappointing. This was meant to be a virtual relaunch of the console, a genuine Wii competitor. Certainly, Microsoft are treating their motion offering as such.
On the other hand, the truly stellar Wii sales have always occured around Christmas time, and you'd think that is the period in which most of the Move's target audience would do their shopping.
I think it would be best if we withheld judgement for a few months.
As far as software support goes, noone that wasn't on board is going to hop on board after this week's sales, but hopefully not many would jump ship either, given what I said about holiday sales.
