ICO - Didn't like it at all. Maybe it was because I was younger and played games for the gameplay and not the whole story experience as well as gameplay like I do now, but the gameplay sucked IMO. And I never played SoTC.
God of War - I've only played GOW1 and Chains of Olympus and I found both of them really lame. They're repititve as fuck. In CoO you can basically beat the game by mashing buttons, with the exception of "boss battles" |
I feel I should address these two.
Shadow of the Colossus is simply incredible. It is pure gameplay. There's ten minutes of story at the beginning and ten minutes at the end with maybe another fifteen minutes interspersed through 12 hours of gameplay. You owe it to yourself to try it out - it's nothing like Ico.
God of War - I did like the original God of War, and only enjoyed CoO because I was already such a huge God of War fan. But they are both far and away the worst games in the series. Number 2 and 3 improved upon them in every single way. No more game-winning combos. No more ugly textures. Way more intelligent boss battles.
As for me:
Realistic Racing Sims - I get no enjoyment out of these whatsoever. It is a pain to drive all of those cars. I don't want to think about gear shifting and traction while playing a game.
Street Fighter - Only because I suck at it. All of my friends also suck at it, but that's not the point. It just doubles the suck. Tekken and Soul Calibur are fine because they are easy to pick up.
Ninja Gaiden - DEMON BATS.
