yes but your forgetting kinect which is building huge numbers with 2 months to go so while slim and reach may die down within a month it will just be another reason to pick up an xbox with the hype of kinect come november though wii will surely dominate as always |
Yes Wii will dominate this Holiday like always...
Anyway Kinect and Move both won't do much in my opinion. Kinect will have a much better launch over the Move but Move should have better legs starting as early as Late November 2010. In the end they both won't do much to effect sales at all. The 2 motion devices are both mainly targeted at the "Casual" non gamer audience. With that said they both will sell to some "Core" gamers but not many. While it is targeted to make "Casual" people buy a P.S.3 or 360 I don't think either will work to do what they were made to do. To explain, The Wii is $200 and comes with 2 games and Motion Plus. The P.S.3 is $300 for the console alone(Already higher then the Wii)and $100 for the Move bundle which makes $400 total. Now lets look at the Move Console bundle...also $400 with only 1 game. The 360 Arcade Slim with Kinect would be $300. Yes the $400 P.S.3 Move bundle may make the 360 Kinect bundle look cheap with its $300 price but that won't matter any since the Wii is still only $200 with 2 games. For the "Casuals" the price matters a lot and they will buy the cheapest priced motion controlled console out their and thats still the Wii by $100 and another game. Also the 360 and P.S.3 are already labeled as the "Core" consoles and I don't think Kinect or Move will change that. While the Wii is already labeled as the "Family Friendly" console and Kinect nad Move won't change that either. In the end Move and Kinect won't do anything except for have small sales bumps.
