But it wasn't a throwback. It was them being artsy. Plus I guess you never heard of COP The Recruit. Sure the game itself wasn't anything to write home about, but it showed what Rockstar could have done with a 3D GTA on the DS.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
