I don't see that as too sensationalized. Yes there was a fantastic sale, but it was only for a small portion of people who won a special raffle. I am sure that Amazon also sold thousands more at the normal retail price. This report was about the whole of the retail season, NOT just about black friday.

To be fair, I think that if supply were constant the Wii could not keep those numbers up, but I think the Wii could easily sell over half a million on Amazon in one day if the stock were there and that number is outragous. The Wii was an insane seller this year and when a feeding frenzy happens during the Christmas retail season it can become hysteria, just as with tickle-me elmo and furby's in the past.

If Nintendo had a constant supply I think we could have seen some very historic numbers this season. Maybe next year could be the year.
