Nintendo doesn't need to do that, because it's not trying to attract people to a new product.
Microsoft does that all the time.
People are going to be choosing between Move and Kinect, and so both Microsoft and Sony have to convince us that their motion gaming solution is better. That doesn't just mean it's good, it means that the competitor is bad.
Also, that chart is quite clearly a joke. But you're right, it's Microsoft-bashing from Sony, just like this chart is Apple-bashing from...Gaia?
