The video game industry needs to grow up. Not only is it the only industry I've ever heard of where developers blame customers for bad sales, but I agree with Lord, many developers tend to make plenty of assumtpions without actually doing any real research. Gaming Journalists can fall into the same category. It's like they're in their own little world and fail to see the mass of people in this world who don't fit their tiny circle of ideas.
That's precisely how Nintendo swooped up this generation with the Wii. At least someone was thinking.
