Sou you are saying a comparison between the same games is unfair?

Just tell me which games you want to compare?

EA games? 19% on PC
UbiSoft? 17% of the sales on PC

Again, this says nothing about the profit. EA for instance has its own online store and each sale on that is virtually pure profit. No licensing fees, no retailers fees and no packaging costs, and those sales aren't even included in that percentage.

And how do those percentages compare to each of the consoles individually? I'm gonna guess they're about the same, but with higher profit margins, especially on digital download games. Even Steam sales are more profitable because they only have the retailer (Valve) fees. From Steam's wiki page:

"Gabe Newell, CEO of Valve, estimated in 2002 that $30 gross profit can be made from a $50 game sold over Steam, much greater than the $7.50 profit made from games sold through retail."

Considerring digital download has grown on PC to the point where it's supposedly 50:50 with retail, profit from PC games has never been higher.
