Well that's the truth. I've played most of those RPG games you listed, besides the golden sun franchise. And I liked or loved all the ones you listed.
At FFX-2... it was made for the fans (and for monetary reasons who'm I kidding! :P) but a lot of the fans didn't like it anyways... but I was a fan that did XD.
My point is as well as yours is. Is best year... is completely based on preference. Unless you use a barometer of say Metacritic or gamesrankings, which is based on random revieweres preference.
Maybe it's the most "hyped" year or games with the most "hyped sequals" but even then you can't measure "Hype" as far as I know. but imo it was incredibly hyped

It's possibly it was the most hyped year in my eyes. But then that's still an opinion unless someone has an objective way to measure it.
