Don't worry I have a Sony T.V. to... though it was for my dad... and it's in the family room... and I can't really use it much.  But the best T.V. I've ever owned, I literally wanted to through my 32 inch T.V. from Sharp out the window after watching Dark Knight on my Sony T.V. (I love my Sharp T.V. don't get me wrong, it's where I game, but damn the years hasn't been kind to it).

The only thing about that is Sony reportedly use Sharp screens for their TVs (I think), so it is age as much as anything else for your sharp...

I said that not meaning the Sony T.V. is some super god technology but rather just T.V. technology progressed, I bought my Sharp almost 4 years ago the only 32inch 1080p T.V. at the time... well the only I could find.  4 years is a lot of time to pass in T.V. technology now a days and my Sony T.V. makes my Sharp look "SD!" cause it's new.
