I don't get what the point of his claim is. Showing off? Its still irrelevant to anyone who actually 'games'.
Games on the Ipod Touch aren't anything more than something you do to kill a few minutes while you're working, waiting, shitting, etc. Most people aren't 'simple' enough to actually be able to make a hobby out of sitting around one-handing their hand-held music player and its one note games. Nintendo and Sony CAN do this, Apple can't.
Besides. companies like Hasbro have made/distributed an amount of games that vastly overshadows anything Apple has done in the 'gaming' industry... but if they came out and made the announcement, who would care? Its still irrelevant. Unless Apple actually comes out and releases a dedicated console or handheld, they aren't even in the same industry.... Its like McDonalds saying they're winning the race this gen because they've distributed billions more 'toys' this generation than Apple, Sony, MS, Nintendo, etc.
