And the clearence on the older models is not what has been causing the boost, so the 360s that are selling have not recieved a pricecut.

The clearnace sale almost certainly created a boost.  If you think the entire boost is just the 360s and wasn't the big reductions on the old model you are almost certainly wrong.

I've seen conflicting estimates of the split, and the 360s definately contributed to the boost a fair bit, but the clearance must have, too.
