Well in 2007, the 360 saw sales like so:
Sept 8th-135k
Sept 15th-145k
Sept 22nd-165k
Sept 29th-230k, where halo 3 sold 3.8 mil week 1
Oct 6th-213k
Oct 13th-200k
Oct 20th-180k
Oct 27th-173k
Nov 3rd-197k
So as you see sales were boosted from 135k at the start of september to 230k by the end, so an extra 100k per week. I think Halo Reach will have a slightly bigger effect, so maybe an extra 120k for the week of launch?
Note in 2007, PGR4 also came out a week and a half after Halo to further boost sales.
I didn't realize how much a game can boost the sales of the console. I'm excited now to see how well Halo will boost sales, and if this boost will push 360 ahead of PS3 total sales in EMEAA for 2010.
