| 9.5 | Presentation Never has a Nintendo-published game put so much effort behind a cinematic experience, and we like it. A lot. Keep it up. |

| 8.0 | Gameplay A really impressive evolution of the old-school Metroid design. There are issues and awkward compromises in place to get it to work as a single controller game, but for what it is it's great fun. |
