Could the Wii remain dominant another five years?

I think E3 2012 will see Wii 2 announced for holiday the next year in 2013.

XBox will release their next system first, how fast depends on the flopocity of Kinect.

Strongest rumors for next gen at 2011 E3 are for Microsoft I project.  Xbox 24/7 before 12/21/12.

 

 

Wii could release a new EarthBound and whatever casual titles they wanted any holiday and win that quarter.

I think it'd be smart to more and more bridge the gap, turning casuals to hardcore by gradually adding complexity to titles, like taking casuals from grade school with Wii Sports to high school with a game like Zelda.

Still haven't seen proper versions of many 3rd party games like Resident Evil, Soul Calibur, CastleVania, and more(and other 1st party big-timers like Star Fox and F-Zero.)

 Nintendo should continue to band together with publishers, convincing them to support their system ala Monster Hunter Tri and Dragon Quest 10.

Beside new ips and new entries in smash hit franchises, Nintendo could "make" some of their older franchises.

Custom Robo is one I can think of, it could be "made" by having a cartoon series come out for it.  Pokemon is similar and there's gotta be a very strong correlation of success to the Pokemon t.v. show and the game.

(got a lot of ideas for Wii games I'd like to see as I'm sure we a lot of us do, but I'll save it for later.  It's fun to play armchair booker/President.)

 

 

 

PS2 beat PS3 in 2006,2007 and almost beat it again in 2008, 

so if Nintendo Gen 6 released in 2013 there's a chance Wii could beat it for two more years.
