It's really impressive to see how much 360 and PS3 are up YOY. They're both definitely going to be up overall for the year in the USA. Hard to say where Wii will end up. It's obviously going to be down for the year, it's just a question of how much. Pretty depressing declines for both of the handhelds but DS still dominates.


I have to disagree here. There comes a time when a market is just saturated. There are 308 million US Americans and 42 million Nintendo DS were sold. That means that almost 14% of all US Americans own a Nintendo DS.

So if you are American: Go to a popular place like a shopping mall, football match or whatever. Look at the people and realise more than every 8th already owns a Nintendo DS. 

The DS still has 2 years in it and will sell even with the 3DS on the market. IMO Nintendo timed the release of the 3DS perfectly.



Imagine not having GamePass on your console...
