I actually have two great memories from that game: 1) This was the first game I played with surround sound. I remember walking around the mansion while playing this game in the dead dark with my roommate. All of sudden we start hearing foot steps and creaking and we were just scared to death. That game did such an awesome job with atmosphere that we even started seeing things and jumping at shadows. Also, I'm a giant pussy when it comes to scary games... 2) One of the sanity meter tricks got me good. I walked into a room with like six enemies surrounding me and then all of a sudden it said my controller had become unplugged while the enemies started mauling me. I literally jumped out of my chair and dove straight for my Gamecube trying to get the controller plugged back in. Finally the screen flashed and I realized the game had just been screwing with me. God I love that game. |
Those foot steps always scared the shit out of me. I always just told myself it's just the game fucking with me. And it still scared me.
