Why aren't they doing this in the Americas? Okay well Sports Champions has a chance now, but long after Kinect Adventures break 10 million, lol. I bet Sony will do some price adjusting on the PS3 prices this fall, same with Microsoft.

ACTUALLY THE $399 bundle has all of that content

$400! wow okay, I take back Sports Champions, it has no chance. $400, are you serious? I could buy a 360 and a Wii for that price, no Kinect, but a Wii!!

Sports Champions only comes bundled with a $120 Move package, and a $400 PS3 package, and looking at the Pre-orders for Sports Champions... It has no chance.

At least Kinect comes with the 360 arcade and is sold for $300, the same price as a PS3.

you take in and then take out

it is still 349 euros

actually pre-orders don't include the bundle orders

PS3 MOVE bundle will get a price cut.sony is doing the same thing MS did wait and then release the price.the move wiill become cheaper

if its trumps in EU then sony wouldn't care though

Well you and postofficebuddy are telling me different PS3 prices in Europe.

Postofficebuddy is saying a Move bundled 320 gig PS3 is replacing the current 250 gig model, and selling it at the same price (300 euros), and that a 160 gig model is being sold for $275 Euros. Your telling me that the Move bundled PS3 in Europe is 350 euros, which is 50 euros more then the regular PS3. Still a moderatly good deal.

However since I'm not too familiar with past PS3 price point in Europe, and in general the Europe market, I will simply refer the the US price of the PS3. To my knowledge:

$200 - 360 Slim Arcade 4 gig

$210 - Wii bundled with Wii Sports, Wii Sports Resorts, and a Motion Plus add on

$300 - 360 Slim Arcade 4 gig bundled with Kinect/Kinect Adventures

$300 - 360 Slim 250 gig

$300 - PS3 Slim 250 gig

$400 - PS3 Slim 320 gig bundled with Sports Champions/Move

I just don't see how what is essentially an HD Wii immitation will sell over a couple million units at DOUBLE the price of the Wii. I could buy a Wii AND a 360 for that price, and as good a the Move potentially is, it's never going to be anywhere nearly as good as a Wii.

However, Sports Champions is also bundled with the top of the line $120 Move package, which I also don't see pushing too many units. Probably a couple million at best.

Finally as a stand alone game, it will at best sell 500k, and even that I find high because you still have to buy at least the $50 move controller (assuming you have a PS Eye) to play the game, and how many PS3 owners have a PS Eye?

Move will become cheaper, next fall, but so will Kinect, and I just don't see the move selling more then a few million units. There is simply a lack of casual Move titles, and I don't see why people would buy a Move-PS3 over a Wii, which has way more games. I do see a few hardcore gamers considering the device for Killzone 3, and Resident Evil 5: Gold edition, but honestly, how many people will buy a $80-$120 peripheral for a couple unreleased games? Even then how many will buy the $120 package with Sports champions?

It could sell 10 million, only if Move manages to compete against kinect, and gets a severe price cut, as well as a few more non Wii-ported titles, otherwise it's just a rich hardcore gamers magic little wand. Except it doesn't magically sell 10 million.

No, no, no, you misinterpreted something I said. The 160 isn't €275, I said that theoretically they could cut the price to that. The 160 is €300 and 320 bundle is €350, the same prices that the 120 and 250 were before. I only said that they could cut the price of the 160 to €275 because the inherent value of the 320 is so dramatically higher that it's not even a contest on which one to buy. It's basically adding an additional €120 worth of value for just €50. I would compare it to Nintendo offering a balance board with every Wii. And I think you're overlooking GT5. That game will be absolutely enormous in Europe and with headtracking being a key feature in the game a lot of people are going to want to pick up a PSEye, which is obviously included with the bundle.

Thank you for the clarification. However we don't judge the sucess of a console bundle baised on theoretical price cuts.

It is an interesting observation, but I beleive Sony is bundling in all that Move stuff so cheap so it takes off, and sells units. Also if Sony makes a price cut on the base PS3, MS will probably make a price cut on its 360 because the 360 is cheaper to produce.

I know GT5 will be huge, I just think it will sell slightly lower then past interations of Gran Turismo. 8.5 million is still a lot for a PS3 exclusive. Thats my guess, and I am not telling anyone who beleives GT5 will sell 10 million is wrong. I am just saying that there are many reasons why it won't sell as well as past installments, and few reasons why it will keeep up, so that is why I beleive it will not make 10 million sales.

As for this 350 Euros PS3, thats a lot of money. Some extreme gamers (who don't already have a PS3), will want to pick up the bundle, but I just can't see something so expensive taking off. I do beleive Move will do moderatly well, I just doesn't see most people getting the top package.
