If they just wanted profits, they would be making yearly Wii Sport sequels like EA and putting a year after it. Wii Sports 2009, 2010, 2011, and on and on. They don't do this because they care about gaming and don't want to rape their audience for money. Did you notice how at e3 this year they were the only company that had something innovative while Microsoft and Sony were heartlessly copying what they did 4 years ago? Haven't you noticed for the past 20 years how they have constantly been creating new innovations that other companies then heartlessly rip-off? Is this the profile of a company that only cares about profits? Seems like it would be the other way around if that were true. They would be copying Microsoft and Sony and making a PowerCube in 2006. |
Oh crap, I pushed wrong button so once again:
Yeah, they do name their games differently. Wii sports, wii sports resort and what next, wii sports extreme? How about mario party 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9? Pokemons?
Could you tell me what did they innovate lately? Motion controls? Not their innovation, they just copied the existing idea/technology. 3d gaming? Not their innovation either.
How is kinect copying nintendo? Do they have a motion tracking camera?
Every company cares about the profits. Nintendo could not get enough (any?) profits with GC and they knew they could not compete with Sony and MS to lesser extent. They had to do something different.
