No way, the SNES/Genesis battle was pretty easily the most "even" generation in terms of performance.  Especially once the poor TG16 dropped out.

The most one sided generation was likely the NES.  Then PS2

C64 sold like 30 millions! Amiga sold few units too! Those old computers were pretty much like consoles, used just for gaming in most cases.

Europe was the only market where custom computer formats were still at all relevant.  In America they never took off, and in Japan MSX, PC88/98, FM7, X1, etc were irrelevant after the mid 80s (and their followups like MSX2/FMTowns/X68000 flopped, while NEC went to consoles entirely with PC Engine).

NES and Famicom utterly dominated America and Japan though, more than any other single platform ever has since, and likely ever will... the only thing even comparable is the sort of domination Game Boy/Advance enjoyed.
