More reasons:

-Sony probably won't use the CELL chip the next time around b/c it has given some headaches, but i'm sure that they will use something to make sure that they can make the PS4 BC.    BC will help boost total sales and Sony will appreciate the $$$ as they didn't have the advantage of BC this generation, but this is iffy as you can't always predict the way technology will go...

-The PS4 won't have the complicated development due to the CELL, which will save both sony and developers $$$$$$

The problems of the Cell are in the past, especially in a 3 or 4 years time working on the cell is going to be as easy as turning on a computer. Don't forget the PS2 was harder to work on then the PS3 was, and look at all the games that came out for the PS2, people will get use to it, and more then likely already did get use to it.

@Marcusdjackson

In 3 or 4 years time 200 - 350 GB will be dirt cheap, wouldn't surprise me to see a 500 GB HDD in the PS4 at an affordable price.
