You represent the fanbase?Hyped it was by no means. It was anti hyped if anything. And reviewed, just like any wiiware game. Using your anecdotal evidence as facts in both cases, thinking you represent the playerbase and thinking your local retailers matter. In a site essentially represented by charts, its a bit silly to argument that .Obviously, other retailers have been selling that game fairly well and without price cuts. The numbers obviously show is not really sitting anywhere. The hours per gamer based on nintendo channel also show a very extended gameplay for shooters. Again, why you say the fanbase doesnt cares about shooters given than the COD game sell fairly above platinum? There is a good fanbase caring about shooters and ensuring repeated sequels. If you mean, particularly as huge, then what is huge?360 numbers? Or half of them are fine?. Again, what are your requisites to qualify. PS3 numbers, which are a lot smaller than 360 ones?Obviously you tailor what you consider a propper number to whatever the wii cant reach. But you know, the industry generally would consider any million seller for a yearly project fairly succesful.

If nintendo made a first party online shooter with all the ads of Halo 3, trust me, it would sell largely .Pushing the ad muscle of Mario Kart would do wonders for it.

You didnt like the game, fine. But the wii market share shows theres interest to increase the amounts of shooters for the system , from 1, to 2, to 3 a year.In this one particularly, 3 third party exclusive ones, as opposed as none 2 years ago. Why you wonder?Well because publishers(and their analysts) noticed theres interest and a market. Not because they are stupid as you might infer.Sales of a poorly funded new ip sold enough to warrant a sequel last year and now they jumped into the train.

If you say..particularly.What is particularly for you?NSMB wii and Mkart? honestly those games were not availiable and wont be for other systems, so you can never gauge their potential perfomance. And those systems wont ever reach such figures in sales with ANY genre. The thing is, no wii genre needs to be particularly interesting for most of playerbase.Theres plenty of markets within the wii share and thats enough to make games, in this case, MORE games.

Proof to clarify. You think , Call of Juarez was more expensive or cheaper to market and develop than porting MW to the wii?.Call of Juarez*im picking a random quality HD game is considered a bomb? No, despite selling a load less than MWR.I can tell you right here, the profit from Reflex was huge, the developing time was minimal and the investment a fraction. In other words, it made a lot more of money than that ip. Now think, as a publisher, what do you want?money. What makes more money sometimes?Making an ip for the wii, or for the crowded HD systems? Now you can say you cant compare such franchises.Sure.But it doesnt matter. The thing is , sometimes its much better and profitable to make a shooter for the wii. But even so, it was STILL profitable to make Call of Juarez.Imagine how its then for Activision regarding MWR.

So in a nutshell, despite your local retailers experience, its selling quite well for industry standarts, and given the investment and lack of exclusivity. And hint hint, thats why Black Ops is coming right up.

Oh man, I'm not gonna even bother responding to this. Its like when my drunken grandfather would lecture me.

I'm just saying the Wii doesn't do a particularly great job selling shooters. Even mega popular franchise like CoD only pulls in modest numbers on the Wii.

Make of that what you will.
