I became disillusioned with manga series when all the ones I read just lost their soul and got out of hand the longer you got into the manga.

In dragonball Z the pattern of stonger villain, stronger hero defets villain, even stronger villain shows up was so obvious its not even funny.

Naruto lost its spirit.

Bleach lost its spirit.

Shaman King lost its spirit (no pun intended)

Death Note got boring when they chose to continue it after L's death.

Fortunately, there are some mangas that have strayed from the pattern of the above. Full Metal Alchemist ended after it reached its climax, without anyone becoming teh overpowered hero of doom and a new even more powerful villain appears and so, on, so on. I'm so thankful that FMA ended when it was at its prime (and it was a good ending too).

Anyone else noticing the pattern of a manga that starts out great, with great mechanics (or whatever they are called) like how people interract with ghosts in bleach, and an interresting premise for the story, and then, the longer you get into it, everyone becomes overpowered, and the mechanics of the manga that before were cleverly implemented turns into gimmicks that could just as well have been replaced by a power meter for each character.
