I'm a fairly good writer since its something I've been doing for several years already but I'm hardly geographically sentered for a writers job that requires travel. Not to mention how insanely expensive traveling with domestic operators is. Are there any other writing positions on a more "amateur" level right now? I'd love to write for this site since I've been a part of it for years and I love writing.
How does one come by the news and features anyway? When I worked as a journalist I went directly to sources and interview objects personally since they were all fairly close but I haven't really had this kind of job online before.
