It really depends how you define "excessively violent". Are we talking God of War (I know ten year olds who've played that game and, believe it or not, they didn't have nightmares or go on killing rampages, but fair enough) or Ratchet and Clank (you beat people to death with a wrench! It's bordering on Manhunt!)
There was a law proposed (by Jack Thompson) which would put a massive box on the front cover saying "Violent Games Cause Aggression" if the game contained any violence. Is this that law?
