Personally, I don't like the direction they are taking but I recognize the genius in the business model even still. The problem arises when there is no middle ground on forums and in articles, usually there are pure haters and pure lovers going at each others' throats, one thinking that Nintendo is a filthy pile of doodoo and the other thinking they are near divine and utterly infallible. We need more intelligent coverage with observations rather than silly articles, posts and remarks based purely upon hatred or doting.

All this brings me to why I still like this site better than any other gaming related forum; despite the complaints about morons speaking nonsense every now and then, this place has by the most intelligent posts and posters of any of the forums I've tried and this remains the only one I go to every day, several times a day.

You've summed up my feelings quite nicely, I'm one of the group that was rather disenchanted with how the game industry was going last gen which turned me into a PC gamer catching up on brilliant games I never had a chance to play, then the Wii came along with new experiences you can't even find on the PC and that even sparked my interest for the games I was getting bored of last gen which is largely represented on PC, 360 and PS3 now. 

I personally don't see why there are haters this gen, some stupid PR has happened, but overall everyone has won and everyone won as a direct result of the Wii winning the generations console sales, Sony stepped up their game compared to last gen to produce amazing games to draw people to their console, Microsoft stepped up their game to offer a unique service in XBL with a lot of exclusives, and Nintendo has made games that aren't the norm you can even get some quality time with your friends and family while you're at it (and post some stupid videos of them playing on You Tube)

I love debating on these forums cause the guys that are legit in their feelings you can discuss the topic and both walk away thinking about a different perspective (which is why you're one of my favorite posters ), other times you do have those guys that are actually pissed about being a fan of one console and losing the "war" so they have to put down the others, they're annoying but most of the time it's fun to see them squirm when logic and facts are presented.
