No and I mean real apps not those apps for free which my 10 year old neighbour kids made... Android Paid apps aren't avaible worldwide for both users and developers.. (serious google wtf is up with that...) Not a lot people are actually buying Androids apps.. Google is incapable of promoting to buy apps.. lots of users demand free apps cause that's the way it started..

Sure the amount of apps may surpass the iphones.. because everybody can release one.. but really making money from it? hell no.. so the real developers will go where the money is and that's the appstore..
