A reminder yet again how big of a mistake Sony made by making the PS3 so damn expensive. Both PS1 and PS2 were less powerfull than their direct competitors, still selling at about the same price point as the competition and yet they dominated. And the Wii proved you don't need to be the first on the market either.
Now PS3 is going to be stuck with a higher price point for the rest of this generation, and Sony lost a lot of money.
