Smilebit's exclusive support of the Xbox (JSRF, Gunvalkryie, PDO) pretty much forced me to buy one (curse them!). Still, stuff like the Otogi, Oddworld, and Halo games, Fable, Riddick, Kingdom Under Fire, Ninja Gaiden, Guilty Gear X2 #Reload, KOTOR, and superior versions of most multiplatform titles (especially Psychonauts) made it worthwhile.
PS2 has a vast and varied library, but the lack of four controller ports and the fact that most of my PS2 games are single-player only seemed to relegate it to second-place status.
Dreamcast was awesome, for single- and four-player, but didn't last long enough to maintain a continued impression. EDIT: Speaking of Dreamcast, The Typing of the Dead is one of the greatest console games ever created, and one of the few titles I would love to see loads of sequels, spin-offs, and/or add-ons to. |
