I agree with Patcher, publishers are abandoning the Wii, which is ironic since hardly a handful ever supported it on a level equal to what most consoles received in support in times past.
Heck even the GC or the Dreamcast got more love then most showed the Wii. Outside of a handful of games (nearly all, save Monster Hunter Tri, tied to Nintendo is some fashion) few games ever pushed the system close to its capabilities. Yet a good number of them complain about the system's audience not picking up on rail shooters like Dead Space Extraction or other half hearted games they dropped. Most expected the system to die out and when it didn't they were still half expecting it to die and now nearly 5 years later and they missed out on a boat load of cash and after scrambling to recoup they are just going to write it off and claim the motion controls on the other systems. It is a vicious and stupid cycle, Nintendo is stuck in, they create a system and games that sell but other companies just try to jock their games and not try to create markets on the system while claiming its all Nintendo's fault, when they do try to release games in those markets and the developers can't match.
That being said, nothing Nintendo can do but what they are currently trying to do, feed the gamers whatever they can throw at them for as long as they can.
