My gripe is primarily when the game doesn't tell you what you're doing wrong, but just annihilates you. The two keepers in Mount Fuji (the mother on the train and the baby with the crane) are an example of this. I beat the mother, though i still have no idea what you're supposed to do to stop that countdown that kills you, considering that doing the same thing consecutively could in one instance lead to death, and in another stop the damn thing.

With the baby i'm entirely uncertain. First i tried destroying the whole set up, but that just killed Kachi. Second i tried keeping the two sides level as i raised them, but that never ended.

Regarding the mother, the characters tell you, before the fight starts, that the train is going too fast for them to stay airborn for too long.  You reset the timer by landing on a train.

Regarding the baby, you are supposed to keep the two sides level, and raise the whole thing to the top of the dam.  Basically, keep doing what you're doing, but do it faster.  Charge shots and deflecting missles help a whole lot: just make sure not to unbalance the platforms by too much.
