Just don't like it. I found VIII to be highly generic and after playing 20 hours of it. I just got extremely bored.

Try  DQV on the DS

Why are you trying to make him like a style of RPG that he doesn't like?

Because I thought the same till I played DQV.

DQ games generally play the same, but meh.

DQV is awesome for its epic story full of charm, nostalgia and some amazing choices you can make.

From what I've heard DQ8 had the weakest story out of all of them, maybe thats why wagram liked it even less

But DQV's story was amazing.
