For the most part unless your trying to copy nintendo like mini games or the game is an established franchise like guitar hero 3 or resident evil 4 there isn't much for 3rd party on the Wii, just look at poor zack and wiki :( |
What about Trauma Center: SO (500k +), MySims (500 +), Red Steel (1m +) Rayman Raving Rabids (1m +)? Plenty of established franchises have racked up some very solid sales too.
It's not worth writing off Zack & Wiki for sales yet either, Europe is where the game will sell best so with some good marketing it could end up settling at 500k worldwide when all is said and done, hardly bad for a game in a genre which is practically non-exsistent.
I just can't imagine a third party being disappointed by the sales of any individual game yet, but I can see alot being pleased with how their second or third tier-team managed to end up selling 300k+ on a game which cost them near nothing to develope.
