It's not that Nintendo has strong first party (even though they do) compared to the third party. There are a couple of strong third party games amongst the shovelware that will only be purchased by a small minority in the Wii community. Most of the Wii owners know about the commercial successes which are mainly the first party titles. When I see the sales of that Just Dance over Mad World....you know you're not dealing with hardcore people. Nintendo needs to back third party companies (especially on third party exclusives) for quality control like Sony does. I like Microsoft but they have only ok quality control and Nintendo has horrible third party quality control.
