Have a CoD fan review Disgaea and you're sure to end up with a 6/10, which like I said is a HUGE flaw with the system we currently have, because it is a no brainer that most FPS fans wouldn't play a grind fest like Disgaea, even though grind fest fanatics such as my girlfriend see these as the greatest games ever to grace a console.

 

They should let people know who it is aimed towards and why it is rated what it is, or better yet, discard the whole idea of number scores, because without numbers it wouldn't be so flawed since someone like me who sees the words "Too much like Zelda NES" would say "OMFG I WANT I WANT!!"

 

Review companies do have people to do specific genres but the fact is the reviewer still presents the overall picture, for one 3DDH is in a genre that includes games like Zelda, Okami, ICO, SOTC and such, these games have specific audiences but have the appeal to pull in people from other audiences. If a game isn't enjoyed by the majority of gamers who play it then the's a reason for it plain and simple, it maybe the gameplay is too limited or what ever just because you like it it doesn't mean it should be rated higher, they do let people know who the game is aimed at and why it's rated the way it is someone even posted a quote from one review as an example earlier.

The fact that the scores of 50-60 are 19-29 points below the Meta average and 26-36 below the user average only add to my point here.

t Game Heroes is a one-trick pony, but it does its one trick very well. Anyone with any nostalgic affection for the era of its inspiration - or for classic Zelda - will find it hard to resist. 3D Dot Game Heroes does have its moments and fun features, like a cute little avatar editor (guess what I made), and the ability to take screenshots and save them to your PS3's photo gallery. But every one of the problems it suffers from elsewhere is something that Legend of Zelda, through its longevity and the massive expertise of its designers, has either long since overcome or never had to worry about anyway. More or less everything 3D Dot Game Heroes does well, meanwhile, is something Zelda has already done better.

Don't trust these reviews worth a shit, because which one do you trust? I would say the first one since the 2nd one takes way too much time attacking it for being exactly what it meant to be. Just sounds to me like a butthurt Zelda fan to be honest.
