Yeah Beatles don't work for that argument, because they magically topped the charts while simultaneously being critically acclaimed and loved by the public and all their contemporary musicians. This is why they don't really work for most arguments really. The Beatles are the Wilt Chamberlain of pop music. It's just not going to happen again.
