Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!! It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!! Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)

When the US sales are in it will pass the highest selling GBA game ever!
Next week it will pass the highest selling DS game ever!
Over 2 weeks it will pass the Sims (I'm not sure if that's the highest selling PC game ever).

And shortly after that Nintendogs will pass the Sims too and Nintendo will own the entire top10!

Probably shortly before counter-comments are made about every other bundled game that's done well, including the game that none can ever match in sales thanks to it being bundled, the original Super Mario Bros. Ahh, predictability...

Bundled games count. The problem with sales records are that they doesn't tell you how good a game is. Duck Hunt is number 4........

I think

best selling console = best console

but

best selling game =/= best game

You can argue for Mario, Pokemon, Tetris, and Wii Sports, but not Duck Hunt.

Prediction:

The PS2 & PS3 will outsell the Wii in 2008.

Lifetime sales of PS3 in Japan will be at least 8 million consoles.
