Is the Playstation 3 doomed?

The Cell is great for gaming, er... I mean graphics, but isn't that what (PS3) gaming is all about? Seriously, bad for AI, game logic, etc. But great at helping out with real-time graphic effects in really dynamic environments.

You do realize that IBM developed the Cell for servers, right? That is its primary purpose and that's why IBM is touting it as their new big thing in blade servers.

And while the Cell is powerful, that I admit, I think 360's three symmetrical cores and more powerful GPU is the right move for gaming. And from the reports I'm reading from most developers, they're saying the same thing. Sure, it can help in real-time effects, but at the cost of AI. So how is that a good solution for gaming?

 In terms of taking advantage of the console straight away, but Sony have future plans for the PS3.  While what we are starting to see on the X360 isn't the best it can do, there isn't much more room for too much more improvement on that hardware, however the PS3 has a whole heap of power up it's sleeve.  

Look at early PS2 games and then at FFXII and God of War 2 and tell me those graphics are unbelievable for hardware from 2000.  

God of War 2 looks better than Zelda on Wii I believe.

PS3 has that scalability and it will increase as the future goes on, it's not doomed it's just not going to do well this year, it will pick up for sure.

 When I saw videos of God of War 2, I thought that the game was a Playstation 3 game. About that, why did they release the game on a dieing console? Sony keeps releasing games on the Playstation 2, and not on the Playstation 3. Not only that, but almsot all of Sony's exclusives are going to the Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii. Sony needs games, yet Sony themselves seem to be ignoring the console, by releasing more games on the Playstation 2. Then again, most consoles do survive for about a year or so after the next generation hits, but still, Playstation 3 is lacking games.

And one more big slap in the face for the Playstation 3. Does anyone know about that new Crash Bandicoot game callled "Crash of the Titans?" Of course most of you don't. I don't. Crash went bad after the Naughty Dog games. Crash 1, 2, and 3 are one of the best selling games out there, yet this new Crash game, is almost invisible, and doesn't look like a good game at all.

Anyways, the game is being released on the Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, Gameboy Advance, Nintendo DS, and Playstation Portable. Oh, it seems that I missed a console. Then again, if I mentioned that the game was going to be out for the Playstation 3, I would be lieing. Crash Bandicoot grew up on the Playstation, yet he hits the Xbox 360 and Wii, and not the Playstation 3. Sony's mascot doesn't even set foot on the Playstation 3. If that isn't an insult, then I don't know what is. In fact, that's more than one insult right there. I'll list all of the insults right now:

1. Crash, Sony's mascot, grew up on the Playstation, and poked his nose in other consoles such as the Wii and Xbox 360. He grows up on the Playstation, yet does not debut on the Playstation 3, but instead on other consoles.

2. Crash is going to the Playstation 2, a console that should have died, and not the Playstation 3. I mean, they could have planned to release it for both. I mean, the game is coming to the Gameboy Advance, a portabel that was replaced by the Nintendo DS, yet no Playstation 3?

3. The game looks awful. How could Sony's mascot sink so deep?

4. Radical Entertainment must be the 5th devoloper to make Crash Bandicoot. It seems that nobody want to keep him.

Well, enough about Crash. He had his fame, like Sonic, and he has died, like Sonic. Mario is the only one that kept it true all of these years.

Anyways, God of War looked amazing. I found it hard to believe that it was a Playstation 2 game. The console itself existed while Sega was still in the game. Amazing... Even the Playstation 2 is beating the Playstation 3, just like everybody else. Apparently, the Super Nintendo was selling more on Amazon than the Playstation 3 at one, or a few times.
