Don't get you hopes up, guys.
Tony, one of the head animation guys at HVS, did a quasi-interview at GameFAQs about a month ago, and pretty much ruled out bots, citing them as "too much sacrifice for too little payoff."
Of course, this is far from official.

Me, I'm not fussed. Most of my favourite splitscreen games didn't have bots.
Invasion Mode makes up for it in my book, at least it will if it's even half as well done as Horde Mode in Gears 2, which they admit it's inspired by.
