he specifically said he didnt want to do that... but if he was going this way then he would be best to wait a little while. too many good phones about to arrive and the windows 7 devices will be very interesting..... basically a zuneHD in a phone. |
Yes, but even than it's good to give it a good hard think, if that isn't something he'd profit for in the future. It's really hard not to buy things on impulse, I've wasted so much money through bad decision and buying on impulse that I rather don't even try to remember them all.
I'm not so interested in Windows 7, I was an avid supporter of Windows Mobile devices for years, starting with first Siemense PDA's, and even though Windows Mobile needed revamp, it wasn't this kind of revamp. From the last showing it's pretty much the same model that Apple has, restrictions everywhere, total control about what you can do with the device, very little room for developers to work in. They might have superior OS to apple's, but I really miss the open platform. And the complete lack of backwards compatibility between WM 6.5 or less with WM7 will kill decade of software developement which provided milions of applications. But maybe the future isn't as grim...
BTW Windows 7 devices are the same as Android devices, it's 90% 3rd party hw manufacturers and the only difference will be the OS instaled.
MY HYPE LIST: 1) Gran Turismo 5; 2) Civilization V; 3) Starcraft II; 4) The Last Guardian; 5) Metal Gear Solid: Rising
