People seem to write off Wii games long before they've finished selling, and MP3 is no different. When you look at the top quality 9+/10 hardcore Wii games, you'll see they simply never disappear from the sales charts.
One year on from it's launch Twilight Princess is still racking up 30k sales every week worldwide, and Resident Evil 4 is somewhere in the 25k region. These spikes don't even seem to be due to the Christmas rush, it's just happening as time passes.
While Metroid Prime 3 will probably sell less week in week out then those games listed above, chances are it'll still see high sales for many months to come in the new year. I think after it gains some extra spikes from Smash Bro's release, next years Christmas and price reduction it'll easily be passed 2m rivaling the original for best selling in the Prime series.
